political action
Baltimore Fire Officers IAFF Local 964 is committed to protecting our members both on and off the fireground.
Political action is how we protect our own
Every policy, procedure, budget decision, and law that affects our wages, benefits, working conditions, staffing, equipment, healthcare, and retirement security is ultimately signed off on by an elected official or someone appointed by an elected official — whether in Baltimore City Hall, the Maryland State Legislature, or the White House.
That is why strong, strategic political advocacy is critical. We cannot afford to sit on the sidelines while decisions that directly impact our members, their families, and the citizens we serve are being made.

Make your voice heard where it counts
It is also important that you personally keep in touch with your elected officials. Let your City Council members, state delegates, senators, and congressional representatives know that you support policies that protect first responders, public safety, and our union’s priority issues.

Personal outreach makes the difference
One call or letter from a fire officer carries more weight than a thousand from those who do not understand the job.

The Baltimore Fire Officers Political Action Committee (PAC)
In 1996, Local 964 established its own Political Action Committee to give Baltimore Fire Officers a powerful, unified voice in the political process. Through our PAC, we support candidates and elected officials who demonstrate a genuine commitment to public safety, fair contracts, quality healthcare, proper staffing, and the well-being of first responders.
Support Our PAC
Contributions to the IAFF Local 964 PAC are completely voluntary. Anyone — members, retirees, families, and community supporters — can contribute to help amplify the voice of Baltimore’s fire officers in Annapolis and City Hall.
Stand with those who stand for us
Your support helps ensure that those who run toward danger every day have strong allies fighting for them where it matters most. For more information, contact PAC Chairman Thomas Skinner at 2ndvp@baltimorefireofficers.com.
Thank you for standing with the Baltimore Fire Officers — together, we are stronger.
