Since our official charter on February 20, 1948, IAFF Local 964 has fought tirelessly to protect and advance the wages, benefits, working conditions, and professional standards of the officers who make critical, life-saving decisions under extreme pressure.
Today, our union is stronger than ever, with more than 700 active and retired members standing together in solidarity.
Local 964 represents the command officers who run toward danger so others don’t have to. Every day, our members direct emergency operations, ensure firefighter safety, and make split-second decisions that protect our city.
